Question: Does the USB support mean it actually supports USB 3.0 or does it refer to v2.0? New hardware - especially HP desktops come with USB 3.0 ports only.
Answer: USB support on this KVM does not support USB 3.0. However, if you were to plug this switch into a 3.0 port, it should not be an issue as the 3.0 port itself is backwards compatible (supports lower speeds). If there was an issue, it would stem from the keyboard or mouse itself. If the input device only supports USB 3.0, then you could not plug it into a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
