The Gefen EXT-DVI-422DL is a 2x2 DVI Dual Link DVI Switcher which allows you to easily switch between two cross-platform extended desktop dual link DVI computers using just two dual link DVI displays, USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse. Dual link DVI uses all 24 pins of the DVI connector to achieve ultra high video resolutions up to 3840x2400. Video and control signals are "switched" for each computer upon selection using Discrete IR Remote and Discrete Contact Closure RMT-2x2 (sold separately), providing you with an easy and effective method of accessing two computers from one workstation without the hassle of networking.
Gefen DVI Dual Link Switch Backside
Connect your dual link DVI displays and USB 2.0 keyboard/mouse to the Switcher's outputs. Then you connect your computers' dual link DVI and USB ports to the Switcher's inputs using the supplied cables. From there, you select the computer you want using the IR remote that comes with the unit. It allows you to switch seamlessly between Macintosh or PC keyboard/video/mouse combinations.
Note: Wired switching is also available via Parallel Discrete Contact Closure

Question: Audio is not coming to the output ?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, due to the complex and varied nature of user environments, detailed product support is beyond the scope of this simple FAQ.
That being said a couple things to try would be to ensure that all cables are fully seated and receiving the need power. Also, ensure the audio cables and equipment work without the switcher by attaching the components directly to a device to see if they work. It may also be helpful to ensure the switcher and attached devices support the correct audio formats.

Question: How do i rebbot the unit, Because audio inputs and outsputs are not working?

Our best guess would be to power down, unhook the systems, let the unit rest for a few minutes, then follow the steps to reconnect the unit.
