Question: What is the difference between this newer model LRA185KMM8D-001 and the older model LRA185KMM8-001? Are they the same form factor?

Question: Does the LRA185KMM8D-001 have remote connectivity through IP? Does this console work with Mac computers?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

The LRA185KMM8D integrates the Avocent AV3108 KVM-Over-IP switch which supports up to 1 concurrent IP user.

For the console piece, It would indeed work for macs but for sources you may need to map certain keys like Command to i.e. the start key - this is very easy to do and is built into the Mac OS System Preferences settings - and if you access the KVM via a mac, you would use the Firefox browser on Apple MacOS X Tiger 10.4+
