Question: Is HDCP supported?
Answer: Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, we do not believe this device HDCP compliant. We are attempting to confirm with the manufacture, but have not had a response yet.

If we learn this device does support HDCP, we will add that to the specifications.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Question: how fast does it switch?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

The integrated emulation assures zero delay when switching between systems. There should not be any noticeable delay at all.

Question: Need switch approved by DSS for HDMI switching between unclass and class computers
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

We would gladly help you out with that; I have forwarded your request to our sales department - they should get back to you soon.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Question: Is this switch able to work with a COMBINATION of: Windows 7; Windows 10; Ubuntu 18.04 computers? (Manual switching is acceptable)
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

The Avocent (by Vertiv) SV240H has been designed to be driver-free and OS-independent for basic KVM functionality - including switching via IR or push-button. The SV240H should work without any problems with a combination of Windows 7, Windows 10, and Linux Ubuntu 18.004 computers.

Please note, "Copy and Paste" functionality across the computers connected to a SV series KVM requires the "Copy and Paste Driver" found here.

Question: Does it come with the parts to mount it in a Rack?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

This Avocent (by Vertiv) SV240H has not been designed to be rack mounted. You may be able to for example place it onto a vented Server Rack Shelf and to use zip-ties to secure it.

Alternatively you may also be interested in the SmartAVI UHDN-4P which is a similar 4-Port HDMI 4K KVM Switch that has been designed for rack mounting using the optional SM-Rack rack mounting kit.

Question: Would I be able to use this and have it display my pc to 2 monitors. Then switch to my xbox on 1 monitor, and then switch to my Nintendo switch to display on 1 monitor. (not all at the same time obviously.) All via hdmi
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

Most versions of Xbox and some Nintendo Switch applications use signals which are protected by HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), and would require a KVM Switch which also supports HDCP passthrough.

For a source PC with 2 video sources, you can use a Dual-monitor KVM switch (leave the second display input source unplugged for the Xbox and Nintendo Switch ports) such as this SmartAVI UHDN-4P-DUO which also supports HDCP.

Question: Can a large USB-Hub ( eg 7 ports) be connected on one of the 3 USB peripheral ports?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you should be able to attach a large USB hub to one of the 3 USB peripheral ports. However, it may not provide enough power for some USB powered devices if the hub itself is not powered.

Question: Just wanted to make sure the SV240H supports macOS 10.14 along with Windows 10. Thank you.
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

According to the manufacturer, there are no known compatibility errors with MacOS versions and Windows 10 when connected to SV240H, but as a rule of thumb, please use direct video connections and avoid using video converters/adapter since it might affect video display and may cause issues.
