Avocent KVM Dongle Compatibility Table

Question: can I use this with tripp-lite ip switch?
Answer: Unfortunately no, it will probably not work. This dongle is an Avocent propitiatory KVM dongle and the pin outs for various manufacturers may not match up. Give us a call at 1-877-586-6654 and we can help you find the correct dongle for your switch.

Question: Can you just confirm that these are the dongles which allow virtual media to be attached?
Answer: Yes, this dongle, along with DSAVIQ-USB2L, DSAVIQ-PS2M, and the DSRIQ-VMC support virtual media.

Question: Will this cable work on the Dell R815 server?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. In the sense that it will attach to the VGA and USB ports of a Dell R815 server, then yes this cable will work. However, this KVM dongle is a proprietary device, used to connect the server to specific Avocent KVM switches via CAT5/5e/6 cable.

Question: What are the differeances between the DSAVIQ-USB2 vs the MPUIQ-VMCHS-G01. I have a mergepoint 2032, trying to understand if i can save some $ buy purchasing this dongle instead
Answer: This DSAVIQ dongle is the replacement for the DSRIQ-PS2, DSRIQ-PS2L, AVRIQ-PS2 and AVRIQ-PS2L dongles. Unfortunately you will need to go with the new version of the dongle for correct functionality.

Question: can this dongle be used to support dual screen display on a PC?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no. This proprietary dongle is used to connect a VGA/USB enabled server/PC to an Avocent KVM switch. Typically, one would need a dual monitor video card or two separate video cards to support a two monitor type setup. If you would like to have the same display on both screens, a VGA splitter may work. See: https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/vs92a.html. Please note however, this is very different than a typical dual monitor setup.

Question: DSAVIQ-USB2 cable can provide similar to HP iLO virtual media feature or not ? Such as mount DVD media from remote PC. And our KVM switch model are DSR8035 and DSR2035
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, when used in conjunction with the appropriate Avocent KVM switch, this discontinued server interface module would provide virtual media capability. The replacement MPUIQ-VMCHS (https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/mpuiq-vmchs.html) does as well.

These modules are compatible with the DSR series of Avocent KVM switch, including the DSR8035 and DSR2035.

Question: Hi Does this work with DELL KVM DMPU2016-G01?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Due to pin-out variances, these dongles are generally propriety devices that only work in a particular manufacturer's equipment.

This particular dongle is for use in Avocent DSR and AutoView switches. Use in other devices is not supported and may lead to equipment damage.

Question: This cable will work with FUJITSU Switch KVM S4 0812 Digital?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately this item is proprietary and will only work with Avocent DSR and AutoView KVM switches.
