The Belkin F1DN104B Advanced Secure DVI-I KVM Switch offers superior security and data protection by providing true data path isolation between systems and networks. The F1DN104B is fully compatible with legacy and new government systems and exceeds NIAP security requirements. Using uni-directional data paths with optical diodes, it prevents peripherals from being used to leak information from one computer system to another. Additional security is provided through the Belkin F1DN104B KVM's end-to-end tamper-proof system that prevents physical tampering, and its intuitive user interface reduces user-switching errors by providing clear identification. Expect the best compatibility out-of-the-gate with the F1DN104B Advanced Secure KVM solution that's designed and vigorously tested to work seamlessly with common systems and peripherals used by the defense and intelligence community.

Belkin F1DN104B Features:

Question: can you connect a usb hub to the usb ports on this device?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. This switch doesn't provide a separate USB port to attach a USB hub. Additionally, we believe the security features of this KVM prevent attaching a USB hub for even the Keyboard and mouse connections. However, without testing it in a particular user environment, we cannot say for sure that it would not allow USB hub pass-through functionality for keyboards and mice.

That being said, the data sheet for this Belkin Secure KVM family states that it has reached NIAP Common Criteria Certification Information Assurance (EAL2 Certification, Protection Profile v2.1) certifications and lists the following under the security features of the manual:
'USB Device Detection
Storage and other unsafe USB devices are rejected when connected to the Switch. Only mouse and keyboard data are passed through.'

Also, 'note: The Cable Kit must be connected directly to a free USB port on your computer with no USB hubs or other devices in between.'

Of further note, this switch will not work with keyboards that have integrated USB hubs or other 'composite' type keyboards or mice.
