The Gefen EXT-DVIAUD-2-HDMI is a DVI Audio to HDMI Adapter which is a device that combines digital video (DVI) and digital audio into HDMI to seamlessly integrate into the modern home theater. This Gefen adapter connects DVI home theater devices or DVI video graphic cards to HDMI compliant digital monitors. This adapter also takes digital audio and encodes it onto the HDMI signal for the full HDMI video and audio effect. With the DVI Audio to HDMI Adapter home theater devices and computer systems can be easily connected any HDMI display for the full digital video and audio experience.

Gefen DVI Audio to HDMI Adapter Side Views

Connect the supplied DVI cable to the input side of the DVI Audio to HDMI Adapter. Then connect the SPDIF digital audio cable to the audio input of the DVI Audio to HDMI Adapter. Then connect the HDMI display or projector to the HDMI output of the DVI Audio to HDMI Adapter. The adapter encodes the digital audio onto the digital video signal to generate the HDMI signal.
