The Cybex SC945 secure desktop KVM is designed to meet the stringent specifications of the U.S. government and comply with the requirements of the latest NAIP protection profile for peripheral sharing devices version 3.0. The SC945 delivers proven security features such as unidirectional data diode technology, which assures complete network isolation while offering user-friendly, easy switching between sources. A Dedicated Peripheral Port permits a secure connection to external USB devices, including CAC smart card readers, fingerprint readers and face recognition devices. Patented emulation technology prevents Display Data Channel (DDC) signal leakage; and guards against signal attacks.

Industry-leading security features are complemented with a range of capabilities and productivity features that make the Cybex SC945 a great investment. Experience true image reproduction with support dual-link DVI-I, which delivers resolutions up to UHD 4K (3840X2160 @ 30), via DVI to HDMI cable. NUM Lock, CAPS Lock and Scroll Lock indicators improve user interaction while maintaining unidirectional data flow from peripherals to PC. Additional usability features include, zero delay switching between connected sources and flexible assignment of audio devices.

The Cybex SC945 KVM switch delivers strong, effective security management designed to tightly control system and network access and deliver transparent security that does not impede user productivity

  • Outstanding security - Designed to meet the requirements of the latest National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Protection Profile V3.0 for peripheral-sharing devices.
  • Support for USB authentication devices - A dedicated peripheral port supports CAC and additional types of authentication devices, such as facial recognition and fingerprint readers.
  • Discrete processing paths - Isolated ports on the switch provide discrete processing paths to each system, preventing data leakage, transfer or crosstalk between adjacent ports.
  • Unique NUM Lock, CAPS Lock and Scroll Lock indicators - While the Cybex series maintains unidirectional data flow, it also provides indicators that alert users when the NUM Lock, CAPS Lock or Scroll Lock is on to improve ease of use.
  • Gain true image reproduction and display flexibility - Cybex KVM switches offer the industry's broadest range of video connections. The SC945 supports dual-link DVI-I, which delivers resolutions up to UHD 4K (3840X2160 @ 30), via DVI to HDMI cable.

Question: Hello, will this work on MAC keyboards?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

The Avocent SC945 is fully compatible with MAC keyboards, as long as the keyboard is plugged in using a standard USB connection. Sorry for the delay, we wanted to confirm with manufacturing.

Question: Whats included in the box? Cables, Keyboard, etc...?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

We have confirmed that the SC945-001 package ships with the SC945 KVM unit, the power supply, a power cable, and an user manual. KVM cables can be purchased separately in 6 ft and 10 ft lengths.

Question: We have 4, SC945 KVMs. The output from unit works fine to monitor but, when connected to Epson projector using HDMI, Projector sees no signal. Hooked monitor up to the same output cable going to the projector and it works fine. If I remove the KVM and go directly from the pc to the Epson using the same cables, it works fine. The units sit approximately 30' apart, is cable length an issue?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

It is possible that the 30ft distance is enough to cut off the signal - digital signals like DVI do not degrade, they just cut off when there isn't enough data. You could test this by bringing in the projector closer and trying a shorter cable (3 to 10 ft cable). If cable distance is the problem, you can use either a DVI booster / DVI extender to extend the distance of the cable.

Many newer projectors also require HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) support to function - which unfortunately the SC945 does not support.

While I am currently not aware of a NIAP-certified 'Secure KVM switch' which supports HDCP, if the security certification is not required, you may want to consider the Avocent SV340 instead, which does support HDCP.
