Question: What is the output voltage of the AC Adaptor? Are there any concerns connecting the splitter directly to the appropriate DC supply and bypasing the AC adaptor?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The output of the AC adapter is 5VDC/3.0A. According to the manufacturer, it would be possible for a 5VDC source/bus with 3A available for the Vopex unit to be used (depending on the source a DC-DC convertor may be needed.

You can see more details for the power supply on page 4 (6th page) of the PDF manual located here: http://www.networktechinc.com/pdf/man065.pdf

Question: Is this splitter 19" rack mountable? If not, do you have DVI video splitters that are?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

There are a few solutions for a rack mount 8-Port DVI splitter:
  1. You use a Rack Mount Shelf for storing the NTI VOPEX-DVIS-8 in a 19" EIA Server Rack. To further secure the splitter, you could use for example zip-ties to attach to unit to a vented rack shelf.
  2. For a native 8-port DVI splitter solution that is rack mountable, you can either get the IP network-based Adder INFINITY DVI KVM Extender / Splitter solution, or the Gefen EXT-UHD600-18 8-Port HDMI Splitter with DVI to HDMI adapters.
