Question: Do they work with autoview 2015. Is the length 10 m ?

In terms of length, the AVRIQ-USB module itself is significantly less than a meter. The module will need to be atatched to the AutoView via a CAT5/5e/6 cable (not ncluded). Under ideal circumstances, the CATx cable can reach out to lengths of 30 meters, so should have no problem reaching 10 meters.

Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the AVRIQ-USB will work with the AV1515, which means the replacement AVRIQ-USB2 should also work. We are not 100% sure of the differences other than an attempt to consolidate and reduce the number of modules needed. The one main difference may be the addition of support for virtual media, CAC and USB 2.0.

Question: Will this dongle work with Avocent DSR1022?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately no, this dongle replaces the AVRIQ-USB and AVRIQ-VMC dongles for the Autoview KVM family.

Question: Do these modules require a KVM switch, or can I just use a regular switch and software on a remote computer?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, these modules are specifically designed for use with Avocent AutoView KVMs and are not compatible with other switches/KVMs or for use as a stand alone product.

Question: In a prior question you answered "Under ideal circumstances, the CATx cable can reach out to lengths of 30 meters," What is ideal circumstances? I need to go about 85 feet.
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The max distance for the cable should be around 100 feet. After that, performance can be impacted in terms of latency, video performance, etc.

In regards to ideal conditions, we are assuming use of a high-quality CATx cable (CAT6 being the best), with minimal interference, and adhering to cabling best practices. Even with less than ideal conditions, however, the AVRIQ-USB2 should work out to 100 feet; it may just require lower video resolutions.

We have not attempted to use a USB to VGA type adapter, so could not comment on compatibility.

Question: Will these cables work on the Avocent 1085 model?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are not familiar with an Avocent 1085 part number.

When we do a search for that part, the ECS17KMM8 rackmount console with 8-port KVM shows up most often. These Monitor keyboard drawers ship with an Avocent AutoView 3008 KVM. If the Model 1085 is part of the AutoView product family, then these should work. However, without knowing for sure which product family the 1085 is from, we could not guarantee compatibility.

Question: do they work with DAV2108
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Typically, these computer access modules are proprietary devices that only work with a particular manufacturer's equipment. Even through the DAV2108 may be Dell branded Avocent product, we could not say for sure that the Avocent interface module would be fully compatible with the Dell device. In any case, it would not be supported by Dell or Avocent.

To prevent loss of functionality or prevent potential damage from occurring to the switch, access modules or attached devices, we always recommend using the manufacturer's designated accessories.
