Adder CCS-PRO4 Features

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 mouse switching with Adder Free-Flow technology

Seamless switching with Adder Free-Flow technology

Free-Flow allows users to automatically switch between target computers simply by moving the mouse pointer from screen to screen. Unlike software-only variants, no software or networking is required on your mission critical computers for Free-Flow to work.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 Improved desk ergonomics

    Improved desk ergonomics

With only one keyboard and mouse required to operate four computer systems, the desk space can be made more ergonomically effective and reduces the time taken for operators to multiplex to different systems.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 Multi-Monitor Free-Flow

    Multi-Monitor Free-Flow

The CCS-PRO4 system is able to support up to eight monitors per computer. To enable Free-Flow on multi-monitor computers, a driver must be installed on the target computer. This feature is currently available for Windows computers only.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 Channel selection

    External control options

The CCS-PRO4 unit can be controlled and switched via hotkeys, mouse clicks, Ethernet, Serial RS232 or remote 3 button mouse. Optionally, you can also use the RC4 remote switch to make your selection. With the open API, the unit can be easily set up and integrated into 3rd party systems.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 USB Cable

Instant switching with True USB Emulation

Adder's True USB Emulation technology overcomes limitations of other KVM switches by emulating the true character of the connected devices to all the computers simultaneously. This means that you can use the extra function keys, wheels, buttons and controls, without sacrificing switching times.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 On-Screen-Display (OSD) Diagram

    Independent simultaneous device selection

Switching options enable you to use the keyboard and mouse on one computer whilst your USB peripherals and speakers are independently connected to different computers. You can of course still switch all the connected devices to any one of the connected computers.

  • Adder LED Light Module for CCS-PRO4 Free-Flow Switch

    Screen illumination module

The CCS-XB illumination module is an optional accessory which connects to the CCS-PRO4. It gives users the option to have a LED indicator positioned on each screen to identify which screen is currently controlling. The color and intensity can be controlled for each screen. A maximum of ten LED indicators can be supported.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 Dual-AC redundant power

    Redundant power

For mission critical applications, CCS-PRO4 now supports dual power inlets (Dual-AC). If one source fails, the CCS-PRO4 will switch sources to the other power supply, so as not to interrupt normal use of the connected servers.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 Keep-alive function

    Keep-alive function

Users have the option to choose which computers stay alive. This prevents target computers from sleeping while not in use.

  • Adder CCS-PRO4 Audio cable

    Audio Mixing

Users can choose which source audio to hear. Nominate all or your own choice of computer(s) audio, no matter which computer you are using.

Question: Does the ADDER CCS-PRO4 have sound and mic? if not do you have a product that takes 4 PC and has sound and mic for a control room
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The CCS-PRO4 does have support for sound; but unfortunately, there is no dedicated 3.5mm mic input. There are several USB ports that could be used to share a USB mic.

For dedicated mic support there might be several options, depending on your specific needs. Please contact your KVM Switches Online Representative at 1-877-586-6654, via our online chat feature or by email: to discuss your project in greater detail.

Question: Is this product compatible with Apple OS10.10.x (Yosemite) and above? The old model I bought from you in 2012 works only with 10.9.x and below.
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

CCS-PRO4 units should work with Apple systems running OS X 10.xx.x. I had Adder test a CCS-PRO4 with a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.11.1 and had no issues with keyboard/mouse control.

Please note that free-flow only works with Apple systems with a single monitor connected. Apple computers with two or more monitors would still work thru a CCS-PRO4 (or CCS4-USB) but Free-flow will need to be turned off.

Question: Does adder have a device to globally manage multiple PRO4's ?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

As of 07/27/2018, not currently. Adder AIM Manager is only compatible with Infinity and C-USB-LAN devices. For now, CCS-PRO4 units need to be updated/configured independently.

Question: Would the CCS-PRO4 would support a peripheral Genovation keypad? e.g.
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

As long as the manufacturer of the keypad supports the use of USB hubs the device should work, connected to one of the USB switched ports. It will likely not work connected to one of the emulated ports.

If the keypad needs to be switched between computers, when channels are changed - e.g. the user switches from computer 1 to 2 - the keypad will be disconnected from one computer and connected to the next. Depending on the computer treats these reconnects the keypad may not be available for a few seconds (till the USB enumeration process finishes on the computer).

Question: Are USB 3.0 cables supported with the CCS-PRO4?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

USB 3.0 cables are not compatible with CCS-PRO. The USB 3.0 connector is a different size on the B side - a little taller. Please use Adder VSC24 (6ft) or VSC29 (15ft) USB cables to connect sources.

Question: Can you use a Wireless bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse with this switch?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

Depending on the environment, you may be able to control the Adder CCS-PRO4 with a Wireless Keyboard & Mouse. Typically this would be achieved by connecting the wireless device receiver(s) to the USB Hub port(s) of the CCS-PRO4 KM unit.

The Adder CCS-PRO series also features Adders proprietary 'True USB Emulation', which increases your chances of compatibility with more modern devices like the Bluetooth receiver - "'True Emulation' allows you to use the extra function keys, wheels, buttons and controls that are commonly found on modern keyboards and mice. You can also typically use any other USB interface device including graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks, 3D explorers, and wireless bluetooth keyboard & mouse*."
