Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB Features

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - Control VGA Computer from up to 150ft away via Single CAT5/6 cable

Up to 150ft via Single CATx Cable

Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB Computer Interface Module (CIM) extends access to your VGA enabled computer over a single CAT5/6 cable; The maximum resolution achievable is:
    • 1920 x 1080 - up to 150 feet (50 meters)
  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB supports High Definition 1080P VGA Video

    Blazing-fast, High Definition VGA Video

Raritans new enhanced digital D2CIM-DVUSB CIM supports high definition standard VGA video resolutions of up to 1920x1080, including widescreen formats.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - USB Virtual Media with Support for Audio & Smart Card (CAC)

USB Virtual Media with Support for Audio & Smart Card (CAC)

Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB supports beaming of USB devices over IP - also known as "Virtual Media". This enables the use of memory sticks, external drives, mice, and web cameras with remote target servers. The included dual USB also supports Smart Card or US Government Common Access Card (CAC) use.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - BIOS-Level USB Virtual Media Support

    BIOS-Level Virtual Media

The D2CIM-DVUSB has two USB plugs, one for keyboard/mouse and one for virtual media; This enables many additional server BIOS, including ones that require a special 'USB Profile', to access virtual media drives.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - Absolute Mouse Synchronization

    Absolute Mouse Synchronization

The Absolute Mouse Synchronization feature in the D2CIM-DVUSB allows for the use of absolute coordinates that are specified in the USB HID mouse specification instead of using 'mouse acceleration' on the target machine mouse drivers. This ensures the pointers are always synchronized.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - extended profile DDC/E-EDID display emulation

    DDC/E-EDID Display Emulation

DDC/E-EDID is supported by the enhanced CIMs with the "preferred timing mode" set by the Dominion KX III administrator. This is the preferred/native/default video resolution, called the "Display Native Resolution" on the KX GUI. The default resolution can be changed by the user on the Port Configuration Page for each port.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - Audio via USB / Digital Audio over IP

    Audio via USB

Digital Audio over IP is supported using USB Virtual Media on new enhanced Dominion KX III CIMS. USB Audio allows you to interface with audio peripherals such as speakers, microphones, or mixing desks.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - Compact 0U palm-sized

    Compact 'Zero-U'

Raritan CIMs are compact transmitters that fit in your palm, and take 0U of space in rack. These CIMs can simply be zip-tied or hang off the back of racks.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB USB Powered (No external power supplies needed)

    USB Powered

Raritan CIMs are automatically powered over USB connector by the source computer. This eliminates a need for any separate power supply and makes setup simple.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB Flash upgradable

    Flash Updatable

Raritan CIMs can be Flash-upgraded with new firmware - ensuring Raritan CIMs are future proof - and allow you to set custom settings for each CIM level for non-standard operations.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB Plug and Play - No drivers needed

    Plug and Play

Raritan CIMs are designed for plug and play functionality and do not require any drivers or software to be installed for standard operations.

  • Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB - Tiering / Cascading Legacy DKX2 with new DKX3 KVM Switch

Tiering Legacy DKX2 Switch with new DKX3 KVM

Tiering (also known as cascading) is supported between Dominion KX III and II switches. A "Tiered" KX II switch can be connected via the D2CIM-DVUSB to the "Base" KX III switch. The D2CIM-DVUSB is the only CIM certified for this purpose. Note, KX III to KX III tiering will use the KX III's Tiering Port and does not require a CIM.

Question: Please tell us can we get dual port for this item so we can connect one to KVMport and another to KVM extender
Answer: Unfortunately, Raritan does not offer a dual access dongle. I am a bit confused by your request, however. Are you attempting to connect a single server from a faraway distance to the KVM switch? In most cases you would just need a direct extension from the server to the switch. Please give us a call to discuss. 1-877-586-6654.

Question: We have multiple servers which we want to access .If we use Dominion KXII Do you have any USB dongle equivalent to P2CIM-APS2DUAL dongle so that it has Dual port (2 X RJ 45 Female) with Keyboard,Mouse support
Answer: There is not a dual access (2 RJ 45 access) CIM for the KX2 unfortunately. Please give us a call to discuss what you are trying to accomplish and we should be able to pinpoint a solution for you.

Question: Do we need D2CIM-DVUSB cable for each server that goning to connect to KVM or we just need one on the KVM box? Thanks.
Answer: Thank your for your inquiry. Yes, you would need a separate Computer Interface Module(CIM)for each attached server.

Question: What is the functional difference between this item and the "Raritan DCIM-USBG2"?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The DCIM-USBG2 (https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/dcim-usb.html) is the basic USB Computer Interface Module and is described by Raritan as: 'a basic, VGA-based USB CIM for customers not wanting virtual media, absolute mouse or the other advanced features.' - Virtual media is the ability to attach a media storage device to the server through the remote console.

This CIM, the D2CIM-DVUSB, on the other hand is a Dual Virtual Media USB CIM that is required for BIOS level virtual media access (necessary for booting to a recovery CD for instance) and absolute mouse synchronization. Dual Virtual Media CIMs provide enhanced features such as virtual media at the BIOS level, for audio, tiering and/or Smart Cards, including the US Government's Common Access Cards (CAC).

There is one other similar CIM, the D2CIM-VUSB (https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/d2cim-vusb.html), which is a single USB Virtual Media CIM that supports absolute mouse synchronization and virtual media at the OS level only (would not allow booting to a virtual media source).

Question: Will this work with the KX III line of KVMs as well?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the D2CIM-DVUSB will work with the Dominion KX III line.

The manufacturer states the following:
The Dominion KX III was designed to use multiple types of CIMs, including:
- VGA-based Dominion KX II CIMs (D2CIMs): D2CIM-DVUSB, D2CIM-VUSB and D2CIM-PWR
- VGA-based Dominion KX I CIMs (DCIMs): DCIM-PS2, DCIM-USBG2 and DCIM-SUN
- Select Paragon II CIMs

Question: At the server end, does this item have VGA connector as well as the two USB connectors? The picture is not clear enough.
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The D2CIM-DVUSB does come with a VGA connection and the two USB connections.

Normally only one USB connection is required (see the D2CIM-VUSB) for mouse and keyboard, virtual media (OS level access) and absolute mouse synchronization. The dual USB connection adds support for virtual media at the BIOS level, tiering, audio and Smart Card/CAC use - if the connected Raritan KVM supports those features.

Question: Hi I would like to buy 22 pcs of your Raritan KVM D2CIM-VUSB module. But I need to buy it not like a private person. I need to buy it for my organization, so we will need to arrange a contract and the payment will be made by the invoice. Is this possible? Another question: are these modules new or they were used? Do you test them before shipping?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. We do business with many large companies and have several options to accommodate B-2-B transactions. Please see our purchasing methods found here: https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/info.html#Purchasing%20Information.

While we do not test individual items before shipment, every product for sale on KVM Switches Online is new and authentic from the manufacturer.
