The Icron USB 3.0 Spectra 3022 (00-00327 or SP3022) is a two port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed extension solution, enabling USB 3.0 connections at up to 5Gbps over 330ft/100m* of multimode fiber optic cable. The Spectra 3022 features two locking USB 3.0 ports delivering 900mA power to each port perfectly suited for USB3 Vision camera applications, and comes with a two year warranty. Note, backward compatibility to USB 2.0/1.1 is not supported.
USB 3.0's distance is specified at 10 feet / 3 meters. When greater distances are required, consider the USB 3.0 Spectra 3022 which supports USB 3.0 5Gbps throughputs up to 300 feet / 100 meters over OM3 multimode fiber optic cabling. A true plug-and-play solution, the Spectra 3022 is compatible with all leading operating systems and features two locking USB ports and a locking power connector. The Spectra 3022 is warranted for 2 years from the date of purchase and is USB3 Vision compliant. Backward compatibility to USB 2.0/1.1 is not supported by this particular extender.

We are not currently aware of a 2-Port fiber USB 3.0 extender that is backwards compatible with 2.0. That being said, USB is 3.0 cables are always compatible with USB 2.0 devices, so you could get i.e. the Icron Ranger 2224 or the Icron Ranger 2212, and plug in USB 3.0 as well as USB 2.0 devices.
