Adder's ALD-IPEPS is a powerful and flexible Digital KVM over IP product. This unit allows up to 16 user profiles, with defined access rights, and 4 user accessibility at any one time. Contained within a palm sized unit, the AdderLink Digital ipeps enables computer access from anywhere in the world, securely and remotely via the internet or network.

Real VNC client software provides secure, high performance with KVM over IP applications and supports both IPV4 and IPV6 addresses. Free of the limitations of HTTPS, Real VNC greatly enhances video performance. The AdderLink Digital ipeps accepts video signals from computers equipped with DVI, DisplayPort DP++ (Dual-Mode), HDMI, and USB mouse/keyboard control with virtual media. The AdderLink Digital ipeps can be used as a remote gateway into the Adderlink Infinity system by connecting to an AdderLink Infinity reciever unit. This will allow logged in users to access any computer on the Adderlink Infinity network including mobile devices. The Digital ipeps gives full control even during boot up, BIOS level, and even non-operational devices. The AdderLink Digital ipeps has an RS232 port which allows communication to devices like power switches, allowing remote rebooting of the target computer.

The unit has also been engineered to act as a conduit to transfer data from remote users to controlled computers. Files can be transferred via IP onto the Digital ipeps and onto the target computer by means of a USB virtual media port. The AdderLink Digital ipeps can either be powered from two USB cables or independently from an external 5V power source (purchased separately).

The ALD-iPEPS can be connected to through a JAVA based VNC viewer in your web browser without downloading anything (default IP - http://192.168.1.42/).

You can also connect and configure the Digital iPEPS over a network (computer or mobile device), using a downloadable Windows VNC Viewer, or from most operating systems by downloading a viewer via the RealVNC website, or for tablets and smartphones from the appropriate app store.

Question: Does Adder AdderLink Digital iPEPS comes with programmable API to allow automation?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

While the Adder ALD-iPeps does not come with a seperate API, it does have an RS232 port to allow communication to devices like power switches, allowing remote rebooting of the target computer. For power cycling you could also use an external Dataprobe iBoot single device PDU which features a programmable API.

Alternatively, Adders INFINITY IP KVM solution does come with programmable API to allow for automation through the INFINITY Channel Manager Device. Adder publishes a simple Open API structure to allow easy integration with other 3rd Party control systems supplied by companies like AMX, Crestron, HRS or MediaLon at a HTTP level. For more information on the API structure and methods, please refer to "APPENDIX F - A.I.M. API" of the Adder AIM-24 Manual.
