The Icron USB 2.0 Ranger 2344 (00-00416 or RG2344) extends high-speed USB 2.0 connections at up to 480 Mbps over 10km (6.2 miles) of singlemode fiber optic cable and is plug and play - no software drivers required - for all major operating systems: Windows, macOS, and Linux. This FCC/CE Class B certified, 4-port, USB 2.0, singlemode fiber extender with ExtremeUSB is perfect for: keyboards, mice, interactive white boards, flash drives, hard drives, audio devices, USB 2.0 web cameras and any other USB 2.0 or 1.1 device.
The Ranger 2344 incorporates ExtremeUSB technology, enabling users to extend USB beyond the standard 5m cable limit for USB 2.0 peripheral devices. This extender system is composed of two individual units, the LEX and the REX, and has the following key features:

- Supplies up to 1 Amp per USB port; 2.5 Amps total shared for 600mA when all four ports are used concurrently
- Integrated hub provides ports for four USB devices, use hubs to add more

- Reliable operation with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices and hubs
- Support for new USB 3.0 host controllers and devices (up to 480 Mbps)*
