Yes, this switch is Mac compatible, as long as the Macs support DVI-I and USB connections.

Question: Kein Bild am Monitor (No picture on monitor)
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, due to the variable nature of individual environments, detailed product support is beyond the scope of this simple FAQ.

For Avocent support, we recommend trying the official Avocent User Community found here: http://community.avocent.com/index.jspa.

Question: Want to connect new PC (has graphics card) and my Lenovo laptop to my DVI monitor and wireless mouse/keyboard. Will this KVM do the trick and not adversely impact my video experience (mostly photography, not gaming)? Thanks.
Answer: This KVM should work for you, but we cannot be sure about the wireless capability. Sometimes wireless works with KVM solutions and sometimes it does not! We have had the most success with a KVM that has an additional USB 2.0 hub such as https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/2svdvi10-001.html. But again, we cannot guarantee compatibility with wireless and the KVM. As far as the resolution goes, these KVMs will support 1920x1200 @ 60Hz.

Question: Does this switch work with a smart card keyboard?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, this KVM will not work with a smart card keyboard. For that kind of functionality, you would need a KVM with a USB hub. Please note, however, that connecting the keyboard to the hub instead of the standard keyboard port may lead to a loss of functionality, for instance hot-key switching may no longer work.

We believe this switch, with built in USB hub, may work for your application: https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/2svdvi15bnd1.html.

If you need the smart card reader for security purposes, Avocent makes a number of secure KVMs that have CAC reader support built in. If you would like to explore other options, please contact a KVM Switches Online product expert toll free at 1-877-586-6654.

Question: Tenho duas CPUs com DVIs e um monitor DVI com teclado e mouse USB, esse produto consigo ligar as duas CPUs no monitor? Ou qual modelo ?? melhor? Envia para o Brasil?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. If we understand you question correctly, yes, this switch will connect your 2 DVI CPUs to a single DVI monitor, keyboard, and mouse setup. Unfortunately, we are not accepting international orders at this time.

To find a local distributor, please see the following page: http://www.emersonnetworkpower.com/ES-CALA/ABOUT/CONTACTUS/Pages/default.aspx.

Question: Will this work with a DVI-D monitor? I want to be able to use a VGA adapter.
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. This unit will work with a DVI-D monitor. However, it will not convert signals between digital and analog. If the monitor is connected via DVI-D, the attached computers will need to provide a digital DVI-D video signal.

To use a DVI-D monitor with an analog (VGA) signal, an active conversion type device will need to be used and converting signals can get tricky when dealing with KVM devices.

Question: I have two dell U2410 Monitors connected to my Precision M6800 laptop via DVI along with the keyboard and mouse (connected in a docking station). We will be getting zero clients for a project that will be connecting to VMware Horizon View. Need is a switch to share the monitor, keyboard and mouse with the zero client box and my laptop .. do you have any suggestions on a two port switch ..at a good price
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Avocent switches are high quality devices that offer fairly trouble free use. This particular switch comes with cables and would be a decent choice.

Additional 2-port DVI KVMs can be located on the following page: https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/2-port-dvi.html.

If you require a dual-monitor type DVI KVM switch, there is the https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/2svdvi20bnd1.html. Additional dual-monitor DVI KVMs can be found here: https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/dual-dvi-kvm-switch.html.

Question: I need the power supply for this switch
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The power supply is part number SVEPSES-001. Please give us a call at 1-877-586-6654 or contact us via our online chat feature to order.

Question: I am replacing an older Avocent kvm switch. Will this work to switch between a desktop with DVI input and a laptop with VGA
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. By using a DVI-VGA adapter, you should be able to use it for both the DVI input and VGA input, with one caveat.

To use a VGA device, the whole system will need to use analog video - including the desktop and attached monitor. This device will not convert the digital signal to analog or vice-verse. So, as long as the video signal remains consistent across the system, here should not be any issues.

Please be aware though, due to the varied nature of user environments, we cannot 100% guarantee any particular device will function in any particular environment.
