Question: Does this model have hotkey switching?
Answer: Unfortunately, hotkey switching is not supported with this model. https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/4sv120bnd1.html may be a better option.

Question: Does the SV431USB also include the required cables?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. This unit doesn't ship with KVM cables included. They are available for purchase separately. The 6 foot version is the SVUSB2N1-6 (https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/svusb2n1-6.html).

There is also 10 foot and 15 foot versions available:

Question: Can I control from desktop each of the outputs separately I.e if I want 1 open at a time
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. This KVM switch functions as you describe, with only one target computer or server enabled at a time. A user can control up to 4 server/computers from a single user station (keyboard, mouse and monitor only - not a full desktop computer). To switch targets, one would use the push button on the front of the switch.

Question: Bonjour, Peut-on utiliser un pack microsoft wireless 5000 clavier souris sans fils g??r?? avec une seule cl?? USB merci de votre reponse. Cordialement
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. If we understand your question, it is not advisable using as wireless keyboard and mouse with a KVM switch. At the very least, performance will suffer and more likely the KVM will not communicate properly, or even at all, with the wireless devices. For the best performance, we always recommend using basic wired keyboards and mice.

Question: Will this work with a usb extension cable?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Typically adding a USB extension cable is not supported or recommended, though it may work. It would probably depend on where it was connected and how long the extension was. At any rate, we could not guarantee compatibility.

Question: Can I have only one mouse and keyboard controlling four computers while still viewing each computer on their individual monitors?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. It is possible this switch may function as you describe, but that would be an unsupported application we have not tested so could not say 100% either way.

Adder makes a device, the CCS4USB, that functions as you describe with one keyboard and mouse controlling four computers, while each retains its own video output. The CCS4USB has the added benefit of being able to switch between targets by moving the mouse to the new monitor. See the CCS4USB here: https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/ccs4usb-us.html.

Question: How can I turn off the beep when I change screen?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

The manual does not indicate this as a possibility. You may want to contact StarTech Technical Support here to see if they have an override.
